Kings of Leon Reveal a More Personal Direction for O My Beloved

Kings of Leon are turning toward a more personal and stripped-back sound with their upcoming album, O My Beloved.

Caleb Followill has described a writing process that brought the band closer to the acoustic roots he shared with drummer and brother Nathan Followill before Kings of Leon became an arena-level Rock act.

The new direction grew from an unexpected pause after Caleb suffered a broken foot ahead of a European tour. Picking up a guitar during his recovery led to songs that felt exposed, intimate and connected to the band’s earliest creative instincts.

O My Beloved opens another chapter for Kings of Leon while keeping the family connection and honest songwriting at the center.
