Twenty-Four Weeks at No. 1

“Choosin’ Texas” completed its all-time Hot 100 record with 24 weeks at No. 1. The song passed Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which held the previous record with 22 weeks, and moved further ahead of Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” and Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” which each spent 19 weeks at No. 1. Because the Hot 100 measures performance across streaming, radio airplay and sales, the achievement reflects the song’s reach far beyond any single platform.

Released in October 2025, “Choosin’ Texas” grew from a Country favorite into a crossover hit with staying power across the wider music audience. Langley co-wrote the song with Miranda Lambert, Luke Dick and Joybeth Taylor.

A Landmark Country-Music Moment

For CRANKiT ENTERTAINMENT, this is bigger than one chart week. A Country song built around clear storytelling, an unmistakable vocal and memorable guitar-driven production reached listeners across genres for nearly half a year at No. 1.

CRANKiT Take: Ella Langley’s record-setting run shows how strongly a great Country song can connect with the full music market. “Choosin’ Texas” has become both a career-defining hit and a major moment for modern Country music.
