Smile Empty Soul

Smile Empty Soul is a Los Angeles-rooted alternative-rock band that emerged in the late 1990s and broke through with its self-titled 2003 debut. Led by vocalist and guitarist Sean Danielsen, the band built a lasting audience with emotionally direct songwriting, heavy hooks and songs including “Bottom of a Bottle,” “Silhouettes” and “Nowhere Kids.”

More than two decades later, Smile Empty Soul continues recording and touring independently. The band’s official site announced the 20 Years of Vultures Tour and the 2026 single “Bleeding Out,” continuing a catalog that blends alternative rock, post-grunge and hard rock.
