Tab Benoit Unearths Lost 2002 Performance on “Blues Masters Live”

Tab Benoit has released Blues Masters Live, an archival concert recording captured October 19, 2002 at Blue Heaven Studios in Salina, Kansas.

Benoit was 34 years old when he closed the fifth Blues Masters at the Crossroads festival. The performance remained in the archives for nearly 24 years before receiving its official release.

The 11-track collection arrives through Whiskey Bayou Records in collaboration with APO and helps mark the 40th anniversary of Acoustic Sounds. It captures Benoit’s Louisiana-rooted blend of blues, swamp rhythms and rock energy in a setting made for musicianship rather than studio polish.
